Road to recovery Wednesday, June 6th, 2007 ~ posted by Morgan I'm on the road to recovering my IT band. I haven't ran for 2 weeks now (since Beat the Bridge) and I miss running. It's been almost two months since I've done any substantial running. Since I can't run, I'm trying to fill my workout time with lifting weights. I'm on a three day rotation...chest and biceps; shoulders and triceps; back and abs. I do some abs everyday, and I skip the legs day because of my knee. Sometimes I'll ride my bike to the gym...it's only about a mile.

Jingle Bell Run Sunday, December 10th, 2006 ~ posted by Morgan I ran in the Jingle Bell run today and had a time of 23:05. That translates to a 7:28 pace. I'm ok with that time but I would have liked to been more consistent with my time. The first 30 seconds were a 9 minute pace because of congestion from the number of runners, but I finished the first mile in 6:35. Then I started cramping and slowed way down.

May/June Saturday, June 3rd, 2006 ~ posted by Morgan Not much happening in May and I haven't posted much. I went to New York last week and it was a little boring. New York boring...sounds odd. It's because I lived there and I've seen a lot of the sites. It would have been better if I was with somebody. I will post some pictures soon. My schedule in June significantly contrasts May. May was slow. June is busy. June, July, and August are busy. Mt. Rainier in June, Mt. Kilimanjaro in July, and Mt. Rainier again in July. Then scuba lessons in August. Scuba-diving in Mexico in August.
